4.2 F150 2001 Tuner/Chip Question
I have 4.2 v6 F150 2001 automatic but have been searching dont seem to find much at all for this particular engine. Want a Tuner but seems there isnt any for my truck, does anybody know of any or where possibly to get one???? Also any more mods I can get info on would help, this 4.2 engine seems to be not wanted by many so no real performance upgrades available..
BUT HELL I LIKE MY 4.2!!!
Thanks!!!

Get a hold of Andy Wicks at [ www.dynotuneusa.com ] he can fix you up with a Diablosport chip that will turn you're 4.2L V-6 into a very presentable machine.
AND, if you're interested he can program a 3 position DiabloSport chip that will enable you to burn E-85 Ethanol; regular unleaded (86 octane) or 91 Octane Super unleaded so you can do with it as you wish.
The DiablSport chip plugs right into your OEM PCM (ECU) with NO problems and if you open your Air intake with a K&N Air filter and as little as a 3" single exhaust pipe; 3" Magnaflow SS muffler & 3" tail pipe you'll be surprised at the difference.
My pickup sparked up considerably even at the 5,000'-7,8000' msl altitudes at which I normally operate. I gained 12.2 HP and 5.5+ ft-lbs of Torque when burning E-85 Ethanol however, I haven't had time yet to make the Dyno runs in the 3rd. position set for 91 Octane Super Unleaded.
I posted 4,000 mile results on E-85 after my first FFV (Flex Fuel Vehicle) Conversion using the Full Flex Gold FFV Kit on the [ forums/topic.ten-id-494756-s-e85_ffv_conversion_98_f150_42_l_v6 ].
