Welcome to FTE

Several gremlins could be at work.

Round One: Behind the dash, plugged into the printed circuit is the CVR = constant voltage regulator. This device regulates flow of electricity to the gauges. When it fails, the gauges fluctate wildly. Take care removing the CVR, that you don't tear the printed circuit board.

Round Two: Corrosion on the terminals of the printed circuit can also cause the problem. Mi1lion is the guru on this (and many other things) here at FTE. Besides excellent advice, he can post pictures. Very helpful..as usual.

You have a bad or missing ground to the cab probably due to rust and corrosion. Each device that is activated increases the ground potential for the instrument panel voltage regulator. This raises the output voltage to the gages which are grounded on the frame or engine.
