429 motor mounts
Has anyone fabricated motor mounts for a 460 or 429 to fit into a 78 bronco? I know that you can get custom ones for the bronco graveyard for about $110. I was just wondering if anyone had any luck with their own or if it was worth it to spend the money. I was also wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between the custom mounts and normal 460 mounts. Any inf would be appreciated. Thanks.

For a motor that size and with that power/troque I wouldn't stop until I got in touch with L&N Engines in ???, Texas. I wish I could locate my catalog from them that I got when I had my '78! I'm sure that they will have a website out there.

L&L is the place. I did a search on "L&L HEADERS" on YAHOO search and came up with so many hits that I got sidetracked. Unfortunately I could not find a web sight specifically for L&L. I put a 460 in a '79 Bronco and used an entire L&L kit to make it fit. Pick up any 4x4 magazine and you'll find an add for L&L inside the back cover.
