on one of the valve covers, it should have a sticker(on both motors) with peak hp @ xxxx rpm and peak trq @ xxxx rpm, i think this is flywheel measurements, not sure if its at the wheel or not, but im pretty sure its flywheel hp/torque
I'v got a 93 7.3 factory turbo, the valve cover sticker shows 190 hp. Also the Ford released brochure for the 93 and 94 IDI Turbo shows 190 hp @ 3000 rpm and 388 ft/lb @ 1400 rpm.
The IDI diesel had two different power ratings. The high altitude motor injected less fuel and had slower timing to reduce smoke at high elevation.
That is the reason for the lower HP.
