front wheels bouncing 96 f350 HELP???
the truck is a 96 super duty i guess it would be a f350.
its a dually that has a aerial boom and a work room where a bed would be.
its very heavy .
the problem is between 30 and 50 mph if you hit a bump or a hole in the road the front wheels start bouncing violently forcing you to have to get on the brakes and slow down to about 20 before it smooths out.
this doesnt happen on every bump and thank the gods its never happened above 55mph.
any suggestions or has anyone ever had a mid 90,s super duty do this?
its not the only truck i have driven that did this however none of the shops or dealer quite know how to fix this.
replacing the front tires is the only thing that kinda helps but after about 10k on the new skins it comes back.
any help would be greatly appreciated, its a company truck and spending $$$ is not a problem .its just dangerous to drive and probably scares the #*&% out of the other drivers who see the front wheels bouncing and the truck shaking
thanks scott
Ditto on the shocks.....get a couple of guys and push the front end up and down......get it going good then let go......it should stop quickly and with one or two bounces........I'll bet yours goes a lonnnnnng time.
If money isn't an issue....get OEM's at the dealer....and have them check the front end out too.
Good Luck
i try shocks
cheers scott
