The Harley addition can have the same springs as any other super duty, you have to look at your build sheet or doorjamb to find out if it got the plow package, heavy service package, or any of the other suspension upgrades.
Yep just checked and Bear is right, you can't get plow package with the Harley edition, but you can get the heavy service front springs so I would still try to find your build sheet or check your door jamb.
Thanks, but I'm asking about the Harley model, not about my model truck. The real reason I'm asking is so I have an objective/verifiable code for the Harley front spring; not necessarily any package that is or isn't available for the Harley model, but rather, I want to know what springs come with the Harley model. It may be that the springs are different, just like on all the other models, based on the options on the truck. However, the Harley "option" may mean it's built with a particular spring (as an example, all camper packages include the overload spring, and all snow plow packages include the heaviest springs available).
Every Harley model I've seen looks to ride at the same height. It "looks" like they are higher in the front than my truck AND I think this is because they have the plow springs as standard, not that they have the plow package, but that if I had the code for the front springs I would find they are the same spring used when someone, without the Harley package, orders the snow plow package. I could be wrong though, and probably am.
So, to summarize, I don't really want to know if the Harley truck has the plow package, but I want to know if the spring used in the front of the Harley is the highest GVWR spring available, based on the code that's on the tag hanging off the spring.
I didn't think to look in my builders guide, so I did and got it figured out. I've never seen a V10 HD edition, so I don't know if it's made, but per the builders guide the PSD HD package includes a heavier front spring. So, I can now see they would fit the stock ~34" - 35" tire better than a truck without a heavy spring, or better than my stock truck.
You're right, HDs don't come with the plow spring, which is the 6000, they come with a 5200 or 5600 depending on the wheelbase. What would be the code for those?
By the way, the snow plow springs are actually 5600 lbs for the gas engines, it's only 6000# for the diesel.
