I was loosing brake fluid and finally found the problem so I thought I should share the information. Under the plastic battery tray on the drivers side was where the problem was. The tray was rubbing against the brake line going from the master cylinder to the ABS module.
I had to make a new line because the fitting on the master cylinder and ABS are two different sizes. I used a double flare tool to make the new end. All is well now and no more leak. This could have been catastrophic.
Lesson learned, if your taking out your drivers side battery, it might be a good idea to go ahead and take out the tray and inspect that brake line. Mark
That is good to know, thankyou. I'm going to check that out. I just spent $700 to repair my brakes at 90K as one of the calipers was malfunctioning and both had to be rebuilt. I felt the cost was excessive but brakes are kind of important when you're driving an 8k vehicle and tow a 13k fiver.
