2000 not a 1999
I went to the dealer yesterday cuz some idiot broke my mirror. I chased him down and made him pay me $210.00 (cash, on the spot) which he did all scared thinking I was going to kick is ****. Anyways, I go to the dealer to get the towing mirror that originally came with. I tell them my truck is a 1999 F250 Superduty. They could not find the correct mirror until they have punched in the 2000 F250 Superduty. The guy and the dealer says my truck is 2000. I told him my registration papers say 1999. He says that your truck was built in Dec 1999, therefore it is considered a 2000. I'm confused, so I have a 2000 and not a 1999. They also said those mirrors were'nt available on the superduty until the 2000 model year. WTF?
SOME WHERE ON THIS SITE IS A NOTE ON WHAT EACH SEGMENT MEANS
My 2005 was born on 3 Sept 2004 after it went down the assembly line from the 3rd week in Aug 2004
Ford shifts the "Jod 1" date around a lot the last 3 model years but typically they will finish a model year run in April or May of a year and have "Job 1" for the next model year starting down the production/assembly line in May, June or July
