Help with clearance light harness!

Okay, I'm getting ready to put OEM clearance lights on my 2006 F-350 Lariat crew cab and I seem to have run into a snag. I have harness part # 1C3Z15A404AA, but I cannot find an "open" plug that will accept this. I've had the passenger kick panel off and can't find any unused plugs. There is a plug there that would accept it, but it already has a male mate with several wires. Is the clearance light plug hidden farther away or should it be obvious? Everyone says this is "plug and play", but I'm just not seeing it. The matching "used" plug has pins that appear to match up with the power and ground from the light harness, but this would require disasembling the plugs and splicing a ground. I didn't think this was required.

Any help is appreciated!

Have you lowered the headliner or traced where that plug is going. I also installed cab lights in my truck. Could be the the harness is already installed for you. Just a thought.

Did your 06' have an empty plug "waiting" for the light harness? I haven't pulled the headliner down yet, but based on what I've heard the light harness won't be there.

Thanks. Maybe I got lucky and it's already there. I'll find out when I pull the headliner.

Anybody else been down this road with an 06' Lariat?

I'm shocked you dont have Cab Lights with it being a 1 ton Lariat.. I bet the harness is under the liner..

I guess somebody forgot to check that box! Wish they were already there that's for sure. Not looking forward to drilling my roof.

That really blows my mind.. That ford would make it a complete option.. I remember in the day the Cab Lights were strictly standard on all 1 ton.. For 250 it had to be requested..

For instance mines an XLT F250 and I have cab lights, tow mirrors with signal, middle seat, no computer overhead.. I seriously didn't expect my truck to have Cab Lights, Tow Mirrors w/Signals... But it did.. Guess they made it more available to add/remove what you want instead of set packages..

Cab lights are standard on duallies in order to meet DOT regulations (anything over 8' wide has to have them). For all other super duties they are an option. It wouldn't suprise me if the harness is in all f350s though in order to be able to put the cab on either chassis.

It is kind of nerve racking drilling holes on a brand new cab. Just check and recheck your numbers. You only screw up once.

If you have the overhead mileage computer then you need the harness for a truck so equipped, there are two different ones. One for trucks with the overhead mileage computer and one for trucks without it.
