Engine cuts out when raining ?
I have a question for a friend.
It's a 2002 F250 with a powerstroke.
She says when it rains it has spells of cutting out.
A local mechanic has been looking at it without luck.
I am thinking something in the fuel system is obviously getting wet and shorting out. Any suggestions of where to look.

Does it happen when it is first started or while underway? If underway, you may want to check the CPS or camshaft position sensor. It is on the front of the block by the crank dampener and when it gets wet it is prone to fail. Fairly common when the oring goes bad and water gets in there.
