will this work

Ok well i rebuilt my EFI 1990 Ford F-150 and converted it all over to carb, and to do so I was going to try to hard wire everything, with a toggle board. Well I can't get that to work, and was wondering if a wiring harness of of a 1979 Ford F-150 work on my truck, I would take everything out of it and make the changes to get things to work, this truck has a 351M and mine is a 300 6.

Thanks

thats gonna take some serious engineering. the old harness wont work because it wont mate up to your other harness half. also it wouldnt have a fuel relay to engage your pumps unless you deleted them for a manual pump. best thing i could suggest is to check and see if Painless has a harness adapter, or try and find the harness from an 87 big block. same body but you could find some 87's still carbed. dont quote me on that but its worth checking because that will mate to your existing harness. best of luck.

dont you have any smog check in Central Illinois? you can cut the Lome off of the 79 and hook it up on the new setup but then you are going to need to tie it to the newer Lome. it can be done but you are going to need a good wiring diagram for both and then set down with a pencil and paper and think. then start drawing your new wiring diagram. then you can connect it all up. it is a good project and you are going to learn allot.
