Tire Balancing
Tire Balancing, What is the best way to have your tires balanced? I have the Lifetime discount tire balance, But they just cant get it right. I have a hop at about 75 and it dosent get any better from there.. As you all probably will agree the 7.3 likes to tow and run at 75 and up.

At a "TIRE STORE" not a general mechanic like midus etc. A good tire technician can make it happen. It also depends on what size and type of tire you runnin. Ive had problems with tires 35 by 12.5s if your bigger than that you need to especially make sure you have a quality tire, they can be egg shape when you buy them if there not quality and sometimes u just get a bad tire

I use Discount tire for balancing. I have never had a problem, take them back again, they will get it right. I went back in there once after 2K miles and they rebalanced them. I though it was the problem with my vibration but it wasnt. They also cleaned the mud out from behind the rim.

Take it back to Discount Tire and tall them that you want the tires road force balanced. Thay will know what you are talking about. If they don't have the equipment at that store ask them what store does. They don't do this until it is a problem because it takes to long to do. I don't remember the exact procedure but I believe they spin the rim and check for balance and then remount the tire and spin it again. Then they break the tire down again and rotate the tire on the rim to offset heavy spots in the wheel to the tire. Or something along those lines. They will know how to do this. I don't know what it costs but it was same price as balancing with the tire purchase.
I had to have them do mine this way to get rid of the vibration and it worked.
