Wondering if any of you have any experiences with engines swaps in a 1990 Ford F-150 Xlt Lariat 4x4. It has a 302 fuel injected and I was wondering if a 1988 460 fuel injected will fit with new motor mounts or even fit in the engine compartment. Thanks for your input
You'll need new motor mounts, a new tranny, a 460 computer that also matches the tranny, and an exhaust.
Once you get all the parts, it's a bolt-on operation. It will fit fine. If you're serious about it, don't just buy a motor. You'll end up paying a fortune for the swap. Buy a parts truck with a good engine and tranny and you'll save a ton of money.
