Question Gears and Lockers?

I am going to lift my truck in the a couple of weeks and I am wanting some advice on gears and lockers. I read many different post on here about gears and lockers, but still cant make my mind up on what I want. I will be going with 35" tires. I would like to either go with 4.30 or 4.11 gears. I do not pull heavy loads. I would like my truck to drive as close to my stock 3.73 gears now. I will also be swapping out my rear end to either a Detriot Locker or trutrac. I have read post that a locker is adviced for city or everyday driving. I forgot to meantion that that my truck is an everyday driver so fuel economy is considered. I know I should lift a truck if I am worried about fuel.

i would say go with 4.10's if running 35's. that will bring it close to stock. as far as lockers, i would call randys ring and pinion and talk to one of those guys there. when i do gears, i am hoping to go with air or electric lockers front and rear. hope this hepls.

I am a dedicated rock crawler with my two Jeeps and of course faithful 2000, superduty 7.3. The locker really depends on the type of activity you REALLY want to do with your truck. Off road on daily driver? The Detroit locker of Soft locker is great for off road but will give you some interesting events on the dry pavement. It will work but interesting. The Tru trac is designed more like a limited slip but has a helical gear setup that will let the torque distribute to both wheels and if needed slip. There are also the so called ( Lunch Box Lockers ) they will drop in the original carrier without having to reshim and setup your exsisting setup. For offroad I would go one gear ratio higher then the chart. Just call it experiance. And for on road the chart works good. Just my two Cents

If it were me, i would do 4.30's and e lockers front and rear. 4.14's will get you back to a perfect 3.73, but take in consideration that the larger tires and wheels are heavier, and will take more gumption to spin over.
