Which tranny do I have?
I got a 302 and auto trans out of a 91 F150. I don't know if it had a button on the shift lever to lock out OD. The trans has one electrical plug on the driver side just above the shift levers. What is that plug for? Is it a lock-up converter? BTW it is going into a streetrod..... thanks

if it only has 1 connector on the trans and its on the left hand side then you probably have a aod. the switsh is the neutral saftey switch.
Thanks so much.....I have been told the AOD's overdrive gear ratio is different from the newer transmissions. Would you know that ratio so I can select a rear end ratio? Thanks again.....
