your problem may lie in the high pressure oil pump, ipr, icp pump.let me know were you are located im a mechanic, and have much knowledge with this engine.
I would look to verify ICP is not jumping around (biased ICP Sensor) and fuel pressure is steady at speed (Beginning of a dying pump or clog on the pickup side)
Ok added Deisel Kleen last night and 28.5 Gallons of fresh deisel from a station where I know the owner and he takes care of his inground tank and they sell alot of fuel. I will let you know of this helps. So far it has made the PSD quieter. There is a small harness hangs on the the front of IC Ypipe with what looks like vacuum lines attached and I noticed that this is loosely mounted is this cause for concern?

That's just the boost pressure control relay and it's hanging on a rubber mount. The movement is nothing to worry about.
Superduty0373 is on the right track, it's not a problem with your pedal assembly if it is behaving the same way with cruise control engaged.
Same with Amiller. Proper diagnosis will get the job fixed.
Guys listen up, I got out a handful of wrenches and tightened my IC boots and found the front two loose and tightened them. Now I couldn't see any signs of leakage mostly because it's dark in there, but the surge problem I was talking about earlier in this thread seems to have disappeared. Could this have been my issue all along? Also I have more responsive boost than I used to have, but EGT's running higher! any thoughts here. I should also note that while cruising this forum I found a thread throwing rocks at K&N filters so I took mine out and replaced it with a Frame paper filter.
I forgot to add the fact that I know how to tight these should be. I think the hot side has springs on the clamps but the cool side doesn't, is this correct?
CORRECTION...I forgot to add the fact that I DO NOT KNOW how to tight these should be. I think the hot side has springs on the clamps but the cool side doesn't, is this correct?
