Original Gear Ratios?
Hey, got a quick question.
Have an 89 Eddie Bauer 5.0.
Soon to be running a 4'' suspension lift with 33's and I'm just wonderin what the original gear ratios on my bronco are? How would I find out?

I've got the same rig, only XLT, Auto Tranny, 3.55 rear ratio and 3.54 in the front. The tag on the driver's door post has the code, 'H9' I believe, 3.55 with Limited Slip in rear.

For the 5.0L engine,I believe Ford offered two ratios:3.55:1,and the optional 4.10:1.The code for 3.55:1 is 19(open diffs),or H9(rear limited-slip).The code for 4.10:1 is H5(limited-slip).According to my 1990 Bronco owner's manual 4.10:1s weren't offered without a limited-slip rear axle.The only way you could get 4.10:1s was with the 5.0L/AOD combination.Hope this helps.
