Deerediesel, well as you know, if you can't go KB you can find a Vortech kit. You won't be disappointed, I assure you. I wouldn't even consider a turbo on these trucks when the vortech kits are awesome.

Yes that might be in the works. I'm pretty sure I can find one of those. Found several while looking under rocks for the KB. Did you do much towing with yours? My truck had 3.55 gears, going to be 4.10's here soon. My worry about the centrifugal was always lack of power down low, but i have ready many of our post and it seems yours was pretty responsive. Just recently found your youtube videos.

I towed a few cars on trailers with it no problem at all. The dyno is load bearing dyno which obviously simulates more than any load I would haul which is why it's so important to have it done asap. As for power down low, its certainly no Kenne Bell but the 460 has so much low end torque anyway that it didn't matter to me. I saw positive boost at about 2500 RPM or so. I had 4:10's but 35" tires.

kenne bell

Hey, I'm the guy (son) who bought the kenne bell. I also have a vortech minus the headunit (I bought it that way) for the 7.5L that I might part with.

Well.... I have been in the corner sobbing about missing the KB on ebay-- and wouldnt you know one pops up here locally on craigslist. I about had a heart attack- oh boy christmas has come early. $2000 cash. Sound too good to be true? It was. I started calling and texting immediately and it would just ring and ring and say "has not set up voicemail" 2 days later he sent me a text saying "get back to you in a bit", so I know it wasnt a dead end #. Over the next few days I called every hour on the hour from 8 to 5 and sent about 10 text. It was a complete waste of time and to be honest I was kind of PO'd that somebody would do that. To top it off he used some of the pics from the ebay auction- that kit went to Utah, not FL. I knew those werent his pics the sec I saw them. Haha its not everyday that you see a Kenne Bell 460 kit floating around (come to think of it , its only about every 5 1/2 years...) so they are pretty recognizable to people like you and me. Freakin craigslist, what a mood killer. This deal is gonna haunt me for years....

My buddy is selling his 460 Vortech kit right now, for $1,800. He's upgrading size of Vortech and is changing bracket style.

I think I may have PM'd him about that one; is he a forum member? These things always come up when I don't feel comfortable spending the money. I asked him if he'd be interested in a trade for my 250R; no dice. Life goes on...haha

Man I'd just run the Vortech since it's available right now. Then you'll have a blown 460 until you find a KB to buy, or if you ever do. That's what I did and I was very pleased with my Vortech 460!
