Hubs Stuck
The title of this post is what I used to find posts on why MY hubs were stuck. I came up with some good stuff but since I am not mechanically inclined in any way whatsoever, I still had to drive mine 5 or 6 miles in 4WD Low to my local mechanic who does my work on the side (he's a GM trained master--but I don't hold that against him). He went through his diagnostics and eventually came to a wiring harness (now, don't hold me to any technical terms) that attaches to the 4WD doohickey thingy (maybe a motor?) under the truck. Well he tried to unplug said doohickey thingy and it wouldn't budge. But, the process of wiggling said doohickey thingy made it capable of shifting the truck back into 4WD Hi and 2WD Low again. This is the ESOF, by the way. Sounds electrical to me but I ain't no mechanic. The son-of-a-gun wouldn't even charge me for his technical expertise. Go figure.
Moral of story:
Check your truck's doohickey thingy--may still have problems down the road, but it's worth a shot!

Well, almost a year later and it's doing it again. I can't figure out where the connection is that my mechanic jiggled before. I'll have to do some more crawling around under it. I sure wish I had a manual shift.
Can anyone point me to the correct location for ESOF connection because I am just not seeing it.
