New gauge install

Getting ready to install a new set of Autometer gauges and was reading the wiring instructions and it said to tie into the dash lite circuit . Will this allow me to dim them with the current dimmer switch ? Also any other things I should look out for during the install .

Yes you will be able to dim the lights with your dimmer switch. For the Pyro be sure to go PRE-TURBO. Drill slow and use a small flat head with a little vaseline on the tip to get the big shavings out all the little ones will blow out as soon as you fire it up. For the Boost gauge go to this website http://www.puredieselpower.com/cata...-plug-p-87.html and get the IAH delete plug with boost fitting and run your boost tube into that. Oh and since you have not installed them yet get some LED's and swap out the bulbs that are in there with the LED's. Good luck and keep us posted.

I did my gauge install this past weekend. The instructions seem to be overwhelming but just do one step at a time.
Drilling the exhaust for the pyro gauge was easier than I thought. I read about broken drill bits so I followed the great advise from others here and did get cobalt bits.
My trans temp doesn't work. I called Dieselmanor this a.m. and they are sending me a new one. No hassles, no hoops to jump through. GREAT support!

Take your time. My Grampa used to say "perfection takes time" but he was talking about moonshine, but I believe that phrase holds true in alot of things. If you rush and F***K something up it will take you that much longer to correct it had you taken your time in the first place.

Has anyone drilled the pyro hole in the manifold while the truck is running? I heard that doing it that way helps blow all the little metal pieaces out.
