I need another 4x4

Well after my friend totalled my 88 bronco I finally had a chance to get my dream truck, a 95 F350 powerstroke 4x4 crew cab but I already miss off roading (trying going on any trail with a 10K lb crew cab long bed) so am looking at getting a cheap 78 or 79 bronco but this thing will never see pavement so I don't really care what it looks like and I want to make the back like a pickup bed - does anybody know if it is possible to put a regular pickup tailgate from a similar year on the bronco in place of its big window tailgate?
