But I have to ask is the Ranchero in the same price range as an exhaust or tuner? That sounds interesting but most project cars end up being money pits.
none of the above...if you truly want more power....save your money and get a rousch supercharger....i've heard that it won't void factory warrenty....if you just want something to toy wiht.....get something other than a rachero....i think they are ugly....but if you like them....go for it...

To each his own, to be sure. But I've had 4 Rancheros over the years, love them. But I have never had a Q code 72, so it's a tough call.
yeah man...if you like them.....thats what i would do....it's a project...something to do...and when your done with that you'll have much more satisfaction when compared to a programer....get a Cobra Jet for it, a 4 speed and tear up the pavement...
Q code is the CJ option which is why I'm interested. But like NASSTY said, it's not a one time investment, and would take away free money from mods on the FX4. So...

If you don't get the Q code Ranchero, how about send it my way??? I like the 72 model year. I have had several Torino's that were 72 but not a Ranchero. The Q code makes it VERY interesting. Is it factory and a 4 speed?
Automatic. No matter; it's the Q part I like. 72 was never my fav year for the torino/ranchero but it is the last year for the pre-smog CJ beast. I know there's a ranchero board here so I'm not getting into all that. But the chero is a tempting choice. Wish i could do all three on my list but last time I went to the bathroom, that wasn't money I flushed.
