I got a 79 351m that I just finished putting head gaskets on. I tried to adjust the valves by the book, i.e. bring #1 to TDC and torqueing the listed rockers to 18 to 25 ft.lbs. then rotating 360 degrees and torqueing the rest (the other 1/2). Well it seems I got a few too tight is their another way to do this. Or should I back them all off and retorque them to a lesser poundage? Any help would be greatly appreitiated. Thanks!
