As mentioned earlier, the truck will not start so I had it towed to the Ford dealer. They called today and said the first problem is the PCM Powertrain Control Module is bad. They also said that there are also 13 or 14 codes behind that but these could go away when a new PCM is installed. They told me the PCM is no longer available from Ford, but they can get one aftermarket and install it for $350.
What is the PCM

Should I try to pick one up from a salvage yard?
You're getting ripped off. If the PCM truly is bad, then there is absolutely no way to know what codes are stored. After all, it's the PCM's job to detect problems and store codes. It is the brains of the engine. It monitors all the sensors and driver input and decides how much fuel needs to be injected.
PCM's rarely go bad. I seriously and truly doubt that they have even come close to diagnosing your problem. They are more interested in making money off you than fixing your truck.
BTW, a PCM can be had off ebay for $50. That's quite a markup.
