31" were an optional tire size. I would leave it alone. Try the dealer and ask but I doubt there is an adjustment. The differance is marginal and actually to your advantage. Your odometer is running just sightly slower thus accumulating less miles on the clock.

I've got 33" tires on my '84 (which is for sale BTW). I know I'm reading wrong. Here in Jax, FL, there's a shop that will measure it out and tell me what speedo gear I need in my tranny. You might wanna ask around your town/area to see if someone can do it for you. I think they put it on some sort of test rack to determine. Not sure, though.
