np 435's would bolt to any for engine larer than a 240/300 depends on what bellhousing you have on it now will determen what you can put it on.if your bell is from a 240,300,289,302,351w or c itll work on your 351.any other bell wont work youd need to go find a different one
No, the C4 bell will bolt to the block but not the tranny, it was designed specifically for the C4 automatic. Different bolt pattern to mount to the tranny and no provision for a throwout arm.
You need a manual tranny bellhousing, they can be found in both cast iron and aluminum. Pay attention to the tooth count on the flywheel as the starter wont engage if you use a 157-tooth flywheel in a bell designed for 164 teeth. If you go the other way, the bell won't even go on over the flywheel.
Here's a couple of pics which show the block plates for two most common sizes I mentioned above, it's an easy way to see the differences:
Here's the two plates side by side...hard to see any difference here. But when you lay one on top of the other, it becomes obvious:
The reddish-brown one is for a 164-tooth flywheel/bellhousing and the aluminum one is for a 157-tooth.
