I need to replace the beltline weatherstipping on my truck. Also the weatherstripping that goes around the outside edge of the glass in the metal track. I was wondering where is the cheapest place to get these parts. thanks for the info.

Scott, just above the top right hand side of your post you will see the logo BOTP.
Just click that for a direct link to their site.

I have done all the shopping that one could do because I am cheap, but along with cheap, I want good quality too. BOTP or LMC both offer what you are looking for at a cost that is competitive with everyone else hawking seals and gaskets.

I have shopped them all including eBay. BOTP or LMC have a good turn around and respectable quality.

I just went through this with my 82. I had prices all over the place. I did the internet shopping, mail order shopping, etc. The best price and shipping was Jeff Bronco Graveyard at $75 for the 6 peice set. 2 window run channals, 2 outer window sweeps, and 2 inner felt sweeps. The quality was great and I would buy from them again. I had prices well over $140 for the same kit.

Great BUT,
LMC doesn't support this free website.

All they want is your money.

They could care less about you.

Support FTE sponsors first and foremost.

Let be known.. at one time "LMC cheerleader's" would be dealt with.

I'd be pissed if I financially supported this site for users to get free info only to have people send people to a NON-supporting site.

You have some serious issues that need to be dealt with. This was an unecessary post. There was nothing wrong with my post. I was giving GOOD advice on quality parts. Financially supporting this site is great, I love this site, but it should not guarantee business. I felt that I was pointing in a quality direction. And LMC not being a FTE supporter in no way justifies your post. Sounds like someone has been standing on the sidelines their whole life being a cheerleader.

I don't even look at the ads or know who are sponsors.
I doubt if many do.
Mil: Do a POLL: "Do you at the ads?"

From the FTE guidelines
https://www.ford-trucks.com/guidelines.html

5th paragraph

Recommendations of vendors by users is encouraged but excessive promotion of vendors (cheer leading) does not provide actual content.

It is a fact whether you like it or not

Don't shoot the messenger.

Q:
If you opened up a store and had a grand opening where you served coffee and donuts for a couple hundred people and once all the coffee and donuts were gone ...people went across the street and bought their stuff after other people in the store were telling you.....you can get that cheaper across the street.

Would you be smiling and have the attitude you have shown ?

It's called courtesy.
If people want to go to LMC let them.

Just don't cheer lead from the bleachers of FTE or tell them if they can't find it at a sponsor site first..then let them go to LMC.

That my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

You tell them to go to LMC.... I'll give them 5 reasons why not to

Lot's of people on FTE think LMC stiff is crap and service sucks

Maybe you were the one time exception ?

The sponsor list is on the left side of the page for Non-FTE sponsors

Unhappy Weatherstripping Sources

I beleive in suporting the sponsors. I have in the past! I would say it is peoples choice to buy where they want. But just remember that the sponsors help keep this site together. Wether they are sellers or private partys. If you have to give alittle more for a site sponsor, IMP that not a bad thing but some people are penny savers either way they go! I do think though, that this thread is getting out of hand and not on the topic it was intended for. FTE is meant for information and such, not heated debate. I have the setting of notification on a thread that I resond to and this thread has become a waste of my time. Lets all help each other, and get along. To that I say goodbye to this thread.

THANK YOU!

I have been on other sites and watch people who speek of helping, but do nothing but beat up on each other. Needless to say, I do not go there anymore.
I do not know if Jeff's Bronko Graveyard is a supporter, but they did a great job in takeing care of my weatherstripping needs, at a great price. We need to help each other with our projects and get the word out, not attack each other.

My post was only meant to give the advice I thought was right. Nothing you say can change that opinoin. As far as other parts go, I have used other places instead of LMC, but in this case I felt that from my experience LMC was good for weatherstripping. I am done with this pointless conversation. Some people have nothing better to do than waste the time of others.
