My friend just picked up a 1995 F-150 and we were working on it getting some problems fixed on it. Then we went to start it and then it died. There is no longer any noise from the fuel pump, and the fuel gauge is not showing a reading any more.
Side note- is the fuel pump and fuel level sender all in one?
No the sending unit is separate, but attached to pump . Id check relays/fuses first. Wiring and dual tank switch for power if so equipped. I can't get my book right now, I'm not in garage . I get back and see if anyone get you info. good luck
I think im gonna have to check the electrical, b/c the fuel gauge is not giving a reading, and theres no pump. But I'm going to have to find some wiring diagrams for the fuel system.

Note that the fuel pump will only run for one second when you turn your key to the run position.
Also pressure does not turn off the fuel pump, the PCM does this when it times out with no pulse train from the ICM.
I just spent some time under the truck and i get power to the inertia shut off switch. so i ran a jumper from the battery to the other wire off the shut off switch and there was nothing. So im trying to find out where the fuel tank selector switch would be, there is supposed to be a jumper there since the truck has a single tank.

You more than likly have a bad fuel pump.
Here are some more diagrams for a single tank that may help you.
Thanx for all the help guys. The Diagrams were great. and it turns out it was the jumper where the fuel pump selector would have been, it must have gotten disconected when we were working under the dash.
Thanx a million guys, u saved alot of money and time in the shop for my friend
