Shining up the grille shell

Ok, anybody have any miracle stuff to use on the aluminum grill shell? I'm redoing a 77 F150 4wd, and I've experimented, but can't find anything to take that milky oxidation off. I don't want to go aftermarket and get a new one, 'cause this one is original and perfectly straight...just not shiny enough!

To tell you the truth, what you should do is go to an appliance store and pick up some alluminum shine, gonna cost ya about $15 $20 bucks but it will shine yer grill shell right back up and put a protective layer on it so that, the milky ***** won't come back. just my input.

No amount of polish will make it right. There is an anodized coating on the grill shell as well as the moldings. When you try to polish it you are really just polishing the coating and not the aluminum itself. The only way to do it would be to strip the coating and then you can polish the aluminum itself. When you polish aluminum your bonnet or whatever you are using to polish will turn black....ever notice when you try to do a factory shell or molding it does not turn black??? the coating is why.

You can have the grille shell re-anodized. Check with your local chrome shop.
