Power window stopt working!
The Passanger side is still working.
When i use the power window switch, i can hear the relay go on and off, but no motor noise at all...
I do not have a manual jet so i don't know which breaker to check, so i checked them all in the box under the hood, driver side, they all seam OK!
Any ideas, other than repalce whole window motor...?
Thanks
Daniel

Sounds like a case of the window seezing up in it's tracks...the relay is saying to me that power is being supplied to the motor but the motor is saying "I'm Not Able To Move This Window" hence the seizure and the relay click / hunting!

So, what does that mean for me now? can i fix this myself?
...take the door panel of and see if the window is siting right in the channel?
What would be my first and next step?
Thanks again!

Drove today over a rough road and the power window started working again...
I guess she likes it rough :-)
But this didn't hold up too long...after some more driving it's making the same trouble!
A nice hit with the knee in the door cover and..."bingo, there is my window!"
I guess my truck is build for rough!
I will live with it for now, and one day i might open it up and check all connectors and tracks.
Thanks again!
Nice work

So she likes it rough eh? Like all those situations, it only lasts so long. Either a bad connection or a dead spot in your motor. It'll stop responding to a good kick when you need it most, like a stiff rainstormGood luck

It looks like this power windows are haunting me after all!
The passenger side stopped working 2 days ago, and i managed to get a used window motor today, it looked in good condition and for 48.00 $ still better than eBay and no shipping!
I opened the door panel, removed the 3 visible screws and had to drill a hole in the metal in front of the 4th screw ( i didn't want to take the whole regulator apart for the exchange).
So I removed the motor and tried to see it's working without any other parts attached to it...AND IT SURE DOES !!!
Than i went for the next step: try to move the regulator by hand...WORKS just fine!
Moved window up, sprayed some white grease on the linkage , rubber parts and teeth!
Now it was time to check the door switch...NOPE nothing here!!!
opened up the switch, which is made of 3 layers, 1st top cover you see on the door, 2nd bottom part with the metal pins, which attach to the top, and 3rd in the middle of this all are the guts of the switch, the copper connectors...
And guess what?????
On one side of the switch(UP) the copper connectors do not touch the bottom lip and therefore do not close the circuit and window does not move up, nor does the motor make any noise!!!
pretty tricky HAAA?
Now I am stuck with a used but working window motor!!!No returns with this used parts guys!!! bummer!
Thanks again!
Daniel
