I recently removed the chrome from around the wheel wells and was thinking of removing the rubber side molding and the brushed panel on the tailgate.
I'm pretty sure the molding is just glued on the fender and quarter, but is it bolted on the door?
And what about that tailgate panel? Would removing that leave holes?

Removing the tailgate panel would leave holes..... it's held on by little studs (attached to the panel) that pass through the outer gate shell, which are backed by small well nuts from the inside of the gate. If you open the gate and look along the inside edge, you should see a couple on either side. There are more located inside the shell, behind the window assembly.
