fuel pump help
front fuel pump works intermuttantly, the fuel level guage stopped working at the same time this started, when i switch it to the rear tank, the fuel guage works fine and the pump does also, i think it has to be a loose wire,,,my question is, do i look at the pump? at the fuel guage or is there a fuel pump relay i should be looking for?...i have a 92 f150, 300-6, with a e4od tranny.....thanks for the help in advance...Bobby

I had a similar problem on my 89, I decided that it was the intank pump and fuel level sender. I never did anything with it, so you may be able to pull that tank and find a bad connector or connection.

There are fuel pumps in both tanks, chances are the front one just finally crapped out since so many people only use the front tank. You can either replace it or just run on the rear tank but I'm betting you'll get tired of it since the rear tank capacity is alot less than the front.
