I have a 92 F150 4x4 5.0 auto-150,000 miles. The plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, and fuel pressure regulator have been replaced. When I first get in it starts right up and drives fine. I drove it 15 minutes on the highway and then shut it off and left sit for a few minutes it has to turn over for 15-20 seconds before it will start. It did that twice in a row- second time had to wait about 10 minutes before it would start. So I drove it back home and shut it off- try it again right away and it fires right up, but I let it sit 5 minutes and it was hard to start. I think it may be the ignition module, but don't know where to find it to have it tested. Any other ideas? and where is the module located? Thanks

At the time when it won't start, test the pressure on the fuel rail. You will see a schrader (sp) valve that you can test the pressure with. This should tell you a lot: is fuel getting to the rails at this point?
Also, when it won't start, do the fuel pumps sound the same? When you turn the key you should hear an initial whining noise, that should go away in a second. So does it sound the same between the times it won't start and the time it will?
Do you have an MSD 6A box on your ignition? Or any other after market parts?
You didn't mention replacing the fuel pump or filter. The pump is in the tank and a bigger job, it has a dmall dime-sized diaphram that can go out and cause certain probs.
Thanks for the reply. I will try the pressure gauge and listen to the pumps. The filter has been changed, but not the pump. No MSD or aftermarket parts
