wont start

wont start

i just got my 6.9 back in my 87 f250 i drove it for two weeks to school and yesterday i got home and went to leave agian and it wouldnt start if you hit the ignithion fast 3 or 4 times it would start now it will not start at all the starter ain't bad i put a new iginion switch on it it has power to the silenoid but the little wire on the top that kicks the silenoid has no power if you put a jumper wire on it and run it from the silenoid to the prong on the ignition switch it will start but if you take the jumper wire off it will not start it has now power at all in that wire any ideas as to whats wrong thanks justin

is the ignition switch set properly? did you bolt it down exactly in the same spot as the old one?

yes and i also moved it to see if it made any difference and it didnt if you put the jumper wire on it it start fine with the ignition

Fusible link near the oil dip stick sounds line it toasted.

Check all the connectors on the right fender......especially for bare burnt wires.

last night about midnight i got bored and went out and messed with it there wasent a fusable link on that wire i got to looken at the connecters and the wires were pulled out of the one that has the wire that goes to the silenoid im guna fix them wires and see if that fixed it thanks for the help
