howdy...I am the owner of a '79 bronco with factory posi both front and rear. It seems to work great sometimes, and not at all other times. I know the tap the brake trick, and it kicks them in...occasionally. Are the clutches going bad? It has 33's, don't know if that matters. Checked and replaced fluid, still no difference. If it is the clutches, is it worth replacing or better to get a detroit or truetrac or other? Thanks for help.

Yeah, it's the clutches. The Trak-Loks are worthless. It's not worth rebuilding IMO, get a different TAD. Even if you freshen up your Trak-Loks they won't work like you want them to, and they won't last long before you're right back to where you are now.
