I recently went through all the plugs with electical cleaner trying to resolve my speedo/tranny issues. Some of the plugs, especially on or around the e4od had rubber seals on them. Somehow, maybe from spraying them with the electrical cleaner, the rubber seals expanded and I couldn't get the plugs to slide all the way in and lock. I ended up having to pull the rubber seals out to get the plugs to snap back into place. This happened on 2-3 plugs, so now they have no rubber seals in them to keep the moisture out.
I called the dealer and they only had one replacement plug available which I would have to splice into the original loom. They wanted like $55 for just one replacement plug. Is there anywhere I can just purchase new rubber seals? How bad is it to leave the plugs the way they are? I'm in Northern California so we do get some rain in the winter/spring.
