Just curious why Ford?
Guys how come Ford put distributor boots on the 86-93 Mustang 302 motors and they didn't stick those on the 92-96 F-150 4x4 trucks it just doesn't make sense to me? I bought a distributor boot for my 302 motor in my 92 F-150 4x4 truck since it sees alot of mud and water in the summertime. I was just curious about that.

Maybe they think the stangs are lower so that water can get on them easy. They think the trucks are so high water will not get on them so they can save a few cents by not putting them on. My mustang's was long gone when I got it and I never had any problems.

I always thought the stangs got them to look cool. 
Never did understand the idea as the boot would tend to hold moisture from condensation , add dirt and age you'll likely end up with spark finding an alternate path to ground.
