Playin' With Desktop Dyno

I've been playing around with desktop dyno for my engine I am building. Mostly the heads part of the equation.

So far, my specs are:
- '87 block and rotating assembly from a Crown Vic (including pistons)
- F1ZE HO Cam
- Weiand Stealth Intake
- Autolite 4100 480cfm (I also have a Holley, but I'd like to use the Autolite because they are more reliable in my experience, but at the cost of a few ponies)
- Stock Mustang HO tubular exhaust manifolds

I haven't bought any heads yet. I do still have the lo-po heads from the CV. I thought about E7TE's as a replacement, but I figured some D0OE 351W or Explorer GT-40's or -P's would work better.

In playing around with Desktop Dyno, I've found that the E7TE's out perform the D0OE's and Gt-40's as well below 3500 rpm. Above that, the superior heads made more power. Does this sound resonable to you guys? I've checked and checked the flow numbers and they are seem acceptable.

The engine is going to spend 99.5% of it's time below 3500. Do you all see any benefit of me springing for the GT40's or 351W's over the E7TE's? I'm not going to be racing the car.

I don't. I'd even suggest you find a set of E6TE heads and give them a standard Ford port job(mainly exhaust work). Smaller port heads build better low rpm torque, and these are proving to be great torque producers on my 351.
