I'm, well, shall I say busting my buddy's bal$s a little. He's just bought a new 2008 F450 Crew Cab 4X4 with the new 6.4L diesel. He tells me it's 350hp. I told him I'd wipe the floor with him in a race against my 88 F150, with a 5.8L engine. I've got dual exhaust with no cats, but other than that, it's bone stock.
My question: how much horsepower and torque does my old truck have, and any one have any clue if he'd be wiping the floor with me?
I don't plan on dragging him, we're just having a little fun here.

It also depends on the trucks. If he's driving a crew cab (long bed?) F450 and you're driving a single cab short bed F150 with the 351 then I guess you could probably have a pretty close contest. I know that my crew cab short bed F150 with a 351 is not very quick at all as it stands. So many factors.. Gearing, tire size, weight, driver... Worth having a good time though! Give it a go, just don't talk too much trash until AFTER you beat him... but i doubt it
