High beam headlight problems

I'm having a problem with my high beam head lights, whenever I have the high beams on for about 3 min. or so my headlights start flickering on and off until I hit the high beem switch back to the off position.
I replaced the switch on the floor board but it did not help, I have had this problem with previous Fords and I just replaced the switch on the floor and was good to go, but not this time any idea's??????????

They don't make them like they used to.

The problem is Ford's design

They run full power thru the switch which evertually ruins the circuit breaker and causes it to connect --blow...rapidly.
Do yourself a favour and increase your headlight illumination by doing the relay upgrade.
It can be done in a day and is well worth the time & money

Then no more flickering lights.

He usually does. And if he doesn't, someone else does.

I agree with what Mil1ion said. DO the relay upgrade. You won't regret it I haven't
