whats up guys ,new to the forums.I just bought a 88 250 4x4 extracab 460 c6.my question is is there a bolt on swap for a od trans or maybe a 5 speed.It has 4:10 gears and it tacks like at 4000 at 70.I pull a pathfinder to the trails in the mountains 1 or 2 times a month but would like to enjoy it more on a day to day bases with out 8 mpg.dont get me wrong I know its a big block but I would think it would be plenty happy at 2500 at 70.thanks for any input and I enjoyed searching all of these forums.theres a lot of knowledge in these pages.later

Welcome that is one powerful truck set up the way it is. I don't now how big your lode is but if you want to trade some of that puling power for better gas mileage it would be easiest to change out those 4.10s out for some 3.55s or so.
