New Bronco Owner! Wahoo!
Picked up a 1987 EB a couple weeks ago. It took me a couple weeks to get the thing to pass emissions, but it did just fine!
It's a green and tan Eddie Bauer with a 351W (carb'd), auto, manual hubs, AC with no cold
- yet anyway! It's got about 160k on the odometer and about 3000-4000 on a rebuilt motor. Rust on the bottom of the tailgate only. All windows work, although I may have to clean the contacts on the passenger side a bit - seems to work most of the time, but kind of sketchy from time to time.
Paint looks good overall and interior needs to be cleaned (project for the weekend?) All in all, not a bad deal for $2000. After we passed the emissions test, we went on a road trip - maybe not the best idea right away - and put over 800 flawless miles on it. Averaged about 15 mpg through the course of the trip (all highway.)
I'll start posting photos as soon as I get it cleaned up. Then it's time to start the mods!
