I am trying to mock up brackets for Bronco II bucket seats into my 55. If I center the seat in front of the column and dash the seat will set 7 or 8 inches from the door. Is this the way everyone elses work? Does anyone have pics of there interior with buckets?
Thanks
Donnie
I believe that almost everyone using the ranger or bronco seat is building a seat risor setup. that brings the front enge of the set up to around 15 or 16 inches.
Check out the gallery for scott123. He has a drawing and I think pics.

Thats why I removed my buckets and installed a stock seat. This seems to work ok but I had to lower it about 3/4 of a inch just so it felt better with my steering wheel. Now it seems like I am falling off the side so I guess it's time to have it redone.
The steering wheel and dashes on our trucks seem to be more "inboard" than newer trucks. Even my 84 F350 i sit more toward the door.
I found this out the hard way , by buying an aftermarket bench seat with a fold down middle section . the relationship of the steering wheel to the position of where you were supposed to "sit" was way off. I was sitting next to the door and the steering wheel was like 3" to the right.
I ended up getting a smooth bench seat, and now i sit where i'm comfortable.
