SCT X2 Problem?

If I put the performance tune in all is great until the truck sets for a week or so and then it is like it goes back to stock.

This past weekend the truck had been sitting with a new download of the performance tune in for about a week. I hit the interstate only to have it start surging and the boost gauge jumping about 10 pounds back and forth. I put my foot in it and the boost gauge wrapped itself all the way around and hit the stop. The truck did not take off either.

I hit a rest area and turn the truck off, let it set for 5, and then restart. Hit the on ramp and it is bucking. I stick my foot in it and hear this farting noise in sync with the boost fluctuations out under the hood.

I finally make it to my destination and check all the turbo hoses and even pulled a couple to get a better look. No problems. I reprogram to stock and all is right with the world again.

What is going on with this? Any guesses?

Sounds more like sticking EGR or turbo vanes. Have you restored the stock program and still had the same issues?

Yeah, I put the stock tune in and all was well and still is. This is my third turbo and it is the updated one.

Oh, did I mention that the boost gauge went all the way around once and hit the stop? I wonder what sort of hand grenade I would have had if the truck had actually responded to that.
