Manual 4wd Conversion
Hi fellow Big Bronco folks,
I'm a new member and the owner of a '94 Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer Edition. I seem to have been bitten by a popular bug. My 'shift on the fly, auto-everything' four wheel drive has stopped working. From the nightmares I've heard regarding troubleshooting and replacement, I'm wondering if there's anyone who's ever 'downgraded'....that is, took a shift on the fly 4wd Bronco and brought it back to manual hubs and a shifter lever on the floor?
The one time I really needed 4wd (snowy mountain road, chain/4wd required) the automagic 4wd feature failed and has yet to be successfully diagnosed. I got to spend a night on a snowy mountain sleeping in my Bronco. At least it was comfortable.
