I currently have supertrapp mufflers on my 77 F150 429, L&L headers, and about 5 feet of 3" pipe. I had to get your guy's opinon on what you think of them. I just can't see how the baffles wouldn't restrict the exhaust. Seems to me that they are a huge restriction although i think they sound really good with the baffles out.

Stroker, I agree, they've got to be restrictive. Supertrapps muffle by slowing down the exhaust gas pulses, so by definition that's restrictive, probably about as much as a stock muffler would be.
I do know that you can adjust the RPM powerband by adding or subtracting baffles, which means you're actually adjusting the backpressure in the pipes. Seems to me that eliminating backpressure would be better, by using a reflective or absorbsion type of muffler.
OTOH, Supertrapps have been around a long time, and they work really well in applications where space is tight.
Ran damn good, still like it. Gotta fix that flappy moon visor. Or just take it off and silicone the holes since they leak anyway. I think theres a short in the right channel somewhere cuz the right tweater cuts out once in a while. Sell it? You want it now eh?
