Transmission problem????
I have a 96 bronco w/ 351w automatic trans(not sure which one) 
It does have the towing package, if that will help. Here's the problem....the OD light on the colum shift keeps flashing. Sometimes it starts after the truck reaches operating temp, sometimes it comes on no matter what the temp, and then it goes away for half a day at times. I also get a check engine light every month or so and it usaully goes away within a couple of days. The truck seems to shift fine cold or hot. I just wanted to pick your brains before I took it in to the dealer to see if they can read any codes. Think it might be the tranny or maybe just a sensor, or PCM???? Any suggestions are welcome.......please 
By the way the truck has 133k and some change

His light stay's flashing all of the time, his gears seem to be winding out and the trans kind of slams into gear. He put a post on the internet trying to find the problem. Of course he cannot remember exactly what it was something about the Torque Clutch Convertor(TCC)needless to say he has a new trans for his. Here are some links that may help.

Thanks for the info. After reading the links I think I will take the truck in ASAP! Hopefully I caught early enough, but w/ my luck.......I'll just leave it at that. Thanks again for the help.

Transmission problem????
check the electrical connections to the trans, my 92
was slamming gears, dropping into neutral, and not shifting at all, after much frustration a friend at the dealer told me to check my conncections, two on trans, two under master cylinder. after cleaning
the connections and regreasing them its been working great.
