Simple fix probably, but my hammer and punch wont knock the hinge pin out of the door so i can replace the bushings and fix my sagging doors, any ideas?
it won't just fall out, especially if its old. check my gallery, i replaced the pins there, i'd recommend just cutting the pin, then knocking out both sides. if you can't get it to knock out, throw some PB blaster on them and grind off the end flares. sometimes, the flares dig into the hinge and kind of wedge themselves in there. i cut mine in the middle, then used a cold chisel to wedge the two sides up, then a pin to drive them out. support the door, or the weight of the door will just add friction and make it even harder

I did this also but ended up having to remove the part of the hinge bolted to the door to get the bushings out. Made it easier to put the new bushing back in. Then just had to ajust the door after it was back together. I keeped 1 bolt in the door at all times so the nut bracket would not fall out though. Don't know if it would but just in case.
Can someone provide me a part number/supplier for the pin and bushings? I have some NAPA Generic ones, but if they are not right, I will be screwed! I would rather spend more $ and have the right ones on hand before I start.
Got mine at the local parts house for $6.00 a set (1 pin & 2 bushings). Just tell them at the counter what it is to fit and they will look it up for you. I thought they are the same from 80-96 when I got mine.
Got them replaced wasnt so bad the second time around. The first attempt resulted in a cracked bushing. A word of advice buy oem replacements if possible, i bought a box of assorted size bushings from the HELP section at advance auto and none of them were the correct size.
I looked into changing my bushings, but was able to look through the local junk yard and get 4 good hinges. I have an 82 but was able to use a set from a 90's truck. I believe the Ford replacement is a 90's number.
I ma have some extra as I an finishing up my truck and will not be keeping too many extra parts.
