cubic inch ?

what would a 4.442 bore and a 3.590 stroke come to? i cant find my book that tells the formula how to figure it out.was just tryin to figure out what my .060 over 429 was now

Using your figures, I came out with 400ci. bore x pi(3.1416) x stroke x 8(#of cyl) ???

close, remember the area of a circle is pi x R2 (radius squared). so assuming you mean 4.420 bore (.060 over bore) and not actually a 4.442 (.082 overbore) JBradley is correct at 440

That's what I get trying to remember formula. I used 4 inch bore as a test before I answered. Guess what 2 squared is 4. My humble apologies

Or this (Bore X Bore X Stroke X number of cylinders X .7854 = displacement
