New Escape owner

Just bought an 07 on friday. Been looking at other makes but finially decided on this one. I have an XLS manual, all the dealers around here only had Auto's, and I wanted the blazing copper, but settled on the redfire, I just wanted to be different. I like the feel of it right now , but we will see. I have read a lot of posts on the continental tires, but does anyone have any feedback on the generals that mine came with?

General's are of about the same quality. You should really enjoy that Escape! Congrats!

I have a 2005 XLS front drive manual trans. I have no complaints with the Generals. I have 32K miles and they look to be at 1/2 tread, if any thing they are a tad louder then some more expensive tires. I run mine at 35psi and so far have not picked up any nails etc. no flats.

Mine took some miles though to get engine loosend up for power and MPG.

Ya, the vehical does seem to be nosier than my old ranger that I just replaced, but boy is it a lot nicer.

I just bought my 2001 Escape, last night... it only has 33,000 miles and I got it for dirt cheap... It was a Demo for one of the dealerships in town... So it like new... I love it.

Question: I read that it idles low, is that true and can it be fixed? How?
